Signs from a strange week.

Strange week indeed. The accident photo was taken last Tuesday at 8:50 am at the intersection of University Avenue and Rice Street in Saint Paul, about a block from the Capitol. You can see a woman still in the passenger seat of the car, while firefighters try to extract her from the vehicle. The intersection was blocked off just as I got to the light so I was stuck at this scene for about 5 minutes, while more ambulances and cop cars arrived.
I included a few flood pictures I took along the Mississippi last Monday. The police have all of Shepards Road blocked off in Saint Paul, but there is a way to access the river front via bicycle. There is also extensive flooding on the opposite side of the river in Lillydale where a number of buildings, roads, and bike trails are under water.
