The Brilliant Beast

A quick collection of photos of the Twin Cities band The Brilliant Beast. I happen to live with three quarters of the band members on Brunson Street in Saint Paul, so naturally I was selected as band photographer. Our initial plan was to shoot in an old, rarely used theater on the Hamline University campus.
After retrieving a pair of hot lights from the television studio (big thanks to Rochelle) we quickly realized that the building that housed the theater was closed, and security was either unable or unwilling to open it. Band Member Adam Wiltgen offered the idea of transferring to the more spacious and entirely wheel chair accessible second stage on the Hamline campus. Ideas were created, wardrobe was applied and we quickly took advantage of the theaters ample space and darkness.
