The weekend was filled with lots of music, beer and long lost friends. I made some of my favorite images during Adam's bday party in Decorah. The house was at the fish hatchery and is beyond beautiful, inside and out. I hope Adam and Kaija live there forever, just so I can come and visit and sleep on their floor. The next day, after attending a recording session at KPVL, I was a witness to one of my best friend's marriage at a beautiful ceremony in Mable Minnesota. Then it was back to Decorah for another Brilliant Beast show. Also playing was General B and the Wiz, who unknown to me until Saturday night, are the biggest thing to hit NE Iowa since..ever? There were so many Luther kids shakin' it at the Americana that I had to pull back and just watch in awe, the raw energy that this band afforded to all those underage hipsters. All I could think was, "Life was less complicated in college."
